We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our new Live Who You Are ad campaign, shot by the incredible Annie Leibovitz. Each day, we’ll be releasing one new ad here as our “10am Special”, and give you an inside look at how our ad subjects live who they are.

Get to know Evan and Oliver:
The Corcoran Group: What drew you to live/work in Greenpoint? How did you choose your apartment?
Evan & Oliver: We’ve always loved Greenpoint. We were looking for open space, and we found an old loft that needed a lot of work… so we put it in.
TCG: What’s it like to work with your brother?
E & O: We’ve always been best friends so it’s pretty great.
TCG: How does the design process differ between your residential and commercial projects?
E & O: Our design process is always driven by understanding the needs of the occupants. We use the individual program needs as well as the context and location to develop design narratives for both our residential and commercial projects. We constantly tailor the design concept in stages to best fit the unique use and context of each space.
TCG: Where does each of you go to escape when you’ve had too much together time?
E & O: These days it seems like we never have enough time!
TCG: What restaurants do you admire from a design perspective (that isn’t one of your own)?
E & O: We admire Gabe Stulman, Andrew Tarlow and Jody Williams - they all have a great eye and create beautiful restaurants.
TCG: How did you get involved with this profession?
O: We grew up building houses and working in restaurants, so when we both ended up living in Brooklyn we decided to combine those experiences.
E: While working in restaurants in VT I got inspired to design them and came to New York to do so —long story short, Oliver and I joined forces during our first place ELSA and the rest is history.
TCG: What are the top 5 signature materials that you like to use in your work?
E & O: 1) White concrete/Plaster 2) Reclaimed wood/Leather 3) Tile/Marble 4) Steel/Brass 5) Glass/Mirror
